Covid-19 Safety Protocol

Dear Patients

This email contains very important information that you need to know and comply with as a patient re-entering Bloor West Village Chiropractic. We have put these new policies in place for your and our protection and safety, and that of all of our families. We are taking these new policies and procedures VERY SERIOUSLY and there will be ZERO TOLERANCE for anyone who does not comply

Appointments:

• For the time being appointments will be one-on-one. You will be met at the door at your appointment time. We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment and not early as we want to minimize time spent in communal spaces. If the front door is locked on your arrival, kindly wait outside and we will be with you shortly. If you are late for your appointment and there is insufficient time to perform your treatment and proper disinfection, you will not be seen and missed appointment fees will apply.

• We realize that it has been a long time since we’ve seen one another and there may be some catching up to do. We ask that you are cognizant of the fact that adequate time is needed to perform your treatment and properly disinfect the room for the next patient who will be waiting outside.

• We ask that you make contactless payments and avoid using cash as much as possible.

• Only essential guests (such as parents/guardians of children) will be permitted to accompany patients into the clinic.

• Please bring as little personal belongings into the clinic with you as possible and leave them on the chair provided for you in the treatment room. If you need a basket for smaller items, one will be provided for you.

• Treatments for now will be mainly manual in nature. We will not be using the electrical stimulation machines for now. Laser is available. If you require acupuncture or are unsure if you’ll need it, please make us aware of this when booking your visit.

• You will be sent a COVID screening questionnaire by email prior to your visit. Please ensure you fill this out. Should you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions, please DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC, but self-isolate immediately and call your primary health care provider or Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000) for further direction.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• The use of masks upon entry to the clinic is MANDATORY. Please ensure you wear either a clean cloth mask or a new surgical/medical mask to your appointment. If you do not have a mask with you at your appointment we will provide you with one for a fee of $2.50.

• Once your mask is on, refrain from touching it or fiddling with it. Should you touch your mask, you will be asked to disinfect your hands.

• Please do not wear disposable or other gloves into the clinic as they are likely contaminated by outside sources. You will be asked to remove and dispose of any gloves upon entry to the clinic and disinfect your hands. Should you feel more comfortable wearing gloves, clean ones will be provided for you.

We thank you all in advance for complying with the above policies and by doing so, enabling a smoother transition to our clinic reopening and you getting the care you need.

Sincerely,

Dr. Adrienne Kaminskyj
